Megan Markle Reverses the Royal Trend
Trooping the Colour is an annual military celebration that celebrates the monarch, and is also known as the Queen’s second birthday.
“Over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians come together each June in a great display of military precision, horsemanship and fanfare to mark The Queen’s official birthday.”
On this day, the lovely Megan Markle made her first official appearance on her husband’s arm. Her outfit of the day did a lot of talking ….
While not strictly against royal protocol, her choice of a pink off-the-shoulder dress contrasted with the likes of Kate Middleton, who always wear sleeves.
While many thought Markle looked stunning during her first major post-honeymoon appearance, others took issue with the off-the-shoulder design of the dress, calling it “inappropriate” and “a bit much” for the queen’s birthday celebration.
